About this race

The Cheyenne Sunrise Lions Greenway Tour de Donut and Ride for Sight combine two Cheyenne bike rides on consecutive days in early August. The first is a 6-mile family ride starting at Cahill Park, located at Del Range Boulevard and Friendship Circle. It has a $25 family registration fee and follows a casual out-and-back route on Cheyenne's Greenway. The second is a 100 km rural ride beginning at WYDOT, 5300 Bishop Boulevard, utilizing an out-and-back course with aid stations. The Greenway ride maintains a relaxed atmosphere with donut stops, route surprises, and a playful Tour de Donut theme; one year featured a Safari concept with animal jokes. Restrooms are accessible at the Cahill Park start but not along the Greenway course, requiring riders to prepare. The 100 km Ride for Sight offers a longer distance, divided into age categories from younger participants up to 65+, and includes a complimentary lunch with food choices upon return. The Cheyenne Sunrise Lions Club and Black Hills Energy sponsor the event.
